How do I know if a breeder is reputable?

At Dachshund Puppy USA, we have a set of minimum standards that each breeder needs to meet to be in our directory. However, we can not guarantee that all breeders here will match what you are looking for. Our best recommendation is to speak with several breeders and ask lots of questions. They should also be interested in what kind of home you can provide to their puppy. BEST TIP: Find the right breeder before you pick a puppy.

Can you recommend the best breeder?

We believe that finding the right breeder is a personal choice, like choosing your veterinarian or your doctor. You need to talk to several breeders to find the one that you are most comfortable with. They should be willing to answer any of your questions and give you information you may not have thought to ask.

How do I file a grievance about a listed breeder?

If you have knowledge that a breeder is not meeting our standards, please use our contact form to submit a grievance. We take our standards very seriously and will investigate any claims we receive.

How do I list my puppies on Dachshund Puppy USA ?

If you would only like to list your puppies, we offer a Monthly Listing Membership. The cost is only $9.95 a month and you may have up to 15 listings at a time. Listings may include puppies, adults and studs.

How do I advertise in your state directory?

All state directory advertisements are included in the advertising packages for Featured Breeder Ads and Standard Breeder Ads. When you place a Featured or Standard Breeder Ad, you will automatically be placed on your state page.

If I upgrade from a Standard Breeder Ad to a Featured Breeder Ad, will I keep my current position?

Yes, we do not penalize you for changing the type of ad you place. If you would like to upgrade to a larger ad, just use our contact form to let us know.

Is there any type of grace period after my ad is due for renewal?

All of our plans are set up for automatic billing to avoid this problem. In the event that your billing was not processed correctly, we do offer a grace period. We know that life can be hectic and we do not want you to lose your position because of a billing error. It is our goal to make working with us a good experience. If you encounter any problems with processing your payment, please contact us right away.

I run a rescue or non-profit organization, do you offer a place for me to advertise?

Yes, we offer a couple of ways to promote your organization. We can place a thumbnail link of your website on some of our more popular pages at a low cost to you.
